Mods and organization

So I’ve seen a few mentions of Mods here.

Is there any concensus on how the mods will be organized?
I’ve assisted (minorly) with the early development of Transcendence and their mod organization is pretty good.

Just food for thought on how a similar project was handled.

They also have how most of the things in game are coded and a basic example of how coding works in game.

There was also talk about other worlds. The way they handled a lot of this was through mods and through additional scenarios you could purchase for use with the free engine.

edit: Another good and long standing mod community is TA Universe for Total Annihilation. The company is long defunct but the fans are still out there modding.
